Our neighbor had me come and photograph a little fishing boat that was moored across the River from her and I thought it would make a cute card so I did this today.
The scan faded it out some.
I also have a new Oil Painting started but have been so busy the last couple weeks I haven't had time to work on it but hope to get onto it soon. To see some of why we were so busy check the post before this one.
I am hooking up to PPF this week after missing a couple weeks.
HAPPY PAINT PARTY FRIDAY
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

I agree that this will make a great card. There's something so inviting and relaxing about it. I love it!
ReplyDeleteDecember is such a busy month. It always feels good to get to January and find time again. Beautiful card. Happy PPF

ReplyDeleteIt looks like someone was having fun on the river. I like this card a lot. Happy PPF.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, what a great idea to make this scene a card, perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas. . . . of course this is a great card. I love that you live on the river . . . still trying to find my yellow cottage on the water. Blessings, Janet, PPF
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely painting-- there's definitely a story there with that boat. Maybe a Humphrey Bogart character on the run, hiding out in the bushes somewhere? Happy New Year and PPF!
ReplyDeleteLovely start for the new year! Yes, it would make a super card!
ReplyDeleteCris, it's beautiful. Utterly beautiful. I love your style. :)
ReplyDeleteNow...if we could take that boat out, along with some paints, and find a quiet spot to drop anchor and paint...wouldn't that be heavenly?
ReplyDeleteI love this one Cris. Such an idylic scene! I want to be in that boat, some fine prince pushing off, with me laying back on a pillow in the fore, drifting, feeling the warm sun on my face, and feeling the ripples of water underneath, perhaps with one hand lazily over the side fingertips skirting the cool water.
ReplyDeleteSee what your art conveys! That is some GOOD ART! ;-)) HPPF!
What a beautiful scene -- it looks like spring on this gray January day. I love the viewpoint as if coming in from the water or floating in like a shore bird :)
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely and peaceful looking scene..I could just picture myself there. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! I like how the oars are just poised for launching. Makes me want to take out the canoe. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteIt's very sweet, Chris. Good day to you!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece for the start of the year. Very nice. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love it.......following you. I like the simple picture it presents, done very well. It should be framed. I find that if it fades in the scan, if you put it through photobucket or something like that you can get the colour back.
ReplyDeleteLovely fishing boat painting, Cris! Wonderful!
ReplyDelete♥♥♥
Happy PPF!!

ReplyDeleteCris, this is truly beautiful and meaningful to me. *My Chris* - (aka my *Ex*) is a rower and rowboats have been a lovely part of our past - and perhaps will play a part in our future.
ReplyDeleteI love the soft, gentle colours...it IS a harbinger of Spring!
Love to you and ALL...(this includes the *Menagerie*)!
