PEEP PEEP PEEP PEEP
WHAT IS IN THERE???
Six little fluff balls.
We got the call this afternoon and rushed right down to get our new babies.
They peeped all the way home and until we could get them set up and fed and watered.
They are only one day old here.
They know where the food is already.
They know where the water is too.
3 black and 3 golden.
And Mama Annie who is making sure all is well.
We put them in my studio so I can shut the door from Daisy our cat and Annie our dog and the peeping.
altho once fed they were happy campers.
| When I saw Con laying across this iffy structure to tar and nail down the roof, I about had a cow and then we would have needed a BARN.:O |
I am adding this new card I just made for some friends Anniversary next month.
I am going to link this with PPF
This is Manhattan and will be called MADDY.
They recently just got this little puppy and I thought since I did their other dog, Brooklyn, as an anniversary card last year, that this year I would do the newest member of their family as a card in watercolor, acrylic and Ink.

Aww, those chicks are so cute. Hope Annie is behaving with them, I fear William would have other thoughts, although considering that for a moment, and knowing him, he would likely be scared of them!! lol.

ReplyDeleteI so want chickens but have been vetoed by my husband. Plus, I think our cat would have her way with them. So I will live vicariously through you! Please keep us posted about them! On one of our visits to Guatemala, we bought our family 3 chickens and a rooster so they would have food and a source of income. It cost us $25 dollars (for the 4!) and changed their lives. Happy PPF!

ReplyDeleteI am sad...we just lost one of our Fluff balls. One of the Rhode Island reds.. :( They warned us that could happen so order more then we wanted, but you still don't want to lose any.
ReplyDeleteMaddy is a wonderful painting, and I love seeing your new babies... and look forward to chicken drawings.... reminds me of years ago when a bloke I taught with bought some chickens in for the students to draw and within minutes we had chickens going everywhere and 60 15 year old scattered trying to catch them... our art department was never quite the same but the drawings and paintings ended up being great fun...xx
ReplyDeleteAw those chicks are just so gorgeous!!

Oh you will have such fun having chickens! Can't wait for our chickens to get broody in the Spring.I love chicks following my hens around the farm. At the moment my chickens are dodging the chicken swallowing snow drifts we have here in New England ( all there in the chicken coop post )
ReplyDeleteLovely what you did with Maddy !
Best wishes with your new peeps.
Maddie is simply adorable and the other pictures are stunning as well! Congratulations !!
ReplyDeleteYour new chicks and new card are both adorable! The new structure is looking good, too. I am so sorry you lost one of the babies. I guess some are not strong enough to survive the move. Chris, I have awarded you with a "Liebster Award". It was awarded to me, and I have picked 5 other blogs that I really enjoy and that have less than 200 followers currently. You can read all about it on my post today. I am hoping you will be able to accept the award, as you bring joyful art and education into all our lives.
