Hello I am Lexy a Red Sex Link and very curious. I
Also dont have much of a tail like the rest do but I can fly up high and land on the roost already.
I am Suzi Q and Very Friendly as well as curious.
I am an Australorp.
We like being hand fed and once in awhile bite the hand that feeds us.
OOPS.
I am Emma the Rhode Island Red next to Suzi Q
behind me are who my master/mistress calls Twiddle Dee and Twiddle dumb because they aren't as friendly as the three of us. They are the Barred Rocks. Actually named Alice and Hattie. She can actually tell which is which but one being a tad friendlier and with a lacier tail feather. Ha until we molt again that is. :)
See how Lexi at the water has no long tail.
| Emma and Alice Look how big they are getting at almost 4 weeks old. |
We are rather messy and constantly having to be cleaned up after, but we are happy in the big dog cage.
We are even starting to get our combs coming out.
The Chicken coop so far.
I spent two days painting inside and outside and crashed the third day.
I have pains in joints I didn't know I had. :O
We still have much to do on the coop and then we have to put the wire pen added on but its getting there.
This is Mr Blandings Dream house in progress.
:))
Your Hen House is gorgeous. It will be a castle once it is finished. Thanks for the Chick-cheer today.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving seeing these chicks growing and they seem to know you are taking their photograph too!! lol. I like that you have built their coop up off the ground, what a good idea.
ReplyDeletethe hen house is so neat. i could almost live in there. these little guys are going to love it. they are looking good. i know they'll produce great eggs being raised in hand fed loving care!
ReplyDeleteso cute! those chicks have it good that's for sure. the eggs will be great - are they all girl chicks or do you have roosters?
ReplyDeleteMim, they were supposed to have been Sexed..They do that somehow. I sure hope there isn't a rooster in there as we wont be able to keep it. so please no rooster!
ReplyDeleteTLC!!! what fun for you, and your creative Con is master woodworker! Happy chicks and hard working happy farmers!!!
ReplyDelete*Da Girls* are soooo cute! The photo of Emma and Suzy Q, looking directly into the camera, is adorable! They all have great names.

Thanks so much, Cris, for the info about the watercolor paper journals. I am now thinking toward pencils. I think I'm not as scared of them as acrylics or watercolors. You were a big help.
ReplyDeleteLove those light colored chickens and the color of the coop.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to have them inside first and make them tam .....you will never be able to eat them.....
Of to the next post
