Hattie here to update you on the goings on around here. Never a dull moment at the Chez Marlow Ranchette. :)
The Sheep may be gone but we are keeping them company and busy.
There is bean picking going on and cherry tomatoes to pick that we can steal.
We even got new flooring in our chicken coop
Nothings to good for us.
They actually had a box of this sitting in the garage for a few years so they thought they would use it in here to make it easier to clean out our coop and look a little more chic. :)
Con working on fixing the green house that the sheep knocked apart. Well it did crystallize after being out in the weather for years. He just did his usual Jeri-rigging and walla its usable again. He stores things in it for winter..
Lexi keeps Cris company while she paints sheep. Altho she told her she really thinks she needs to put us in her next painting. Shes not done with this one yet tho.
Don't think we are sloughing off either. All five of us are busy finally laying eggs. Well most of the time that is.
A little fun goes on too with my master. A visit with Fair next door to watch Annika and Clotilda, the French foreign exchange student, decorating cookies.
In honor of the Sheep being in our field she picked out sheep to make and decorate.
It was fun for my master watching 11 year old, Annika, using her Artistic ability to decorate these and she had never done this before.
All different and all fabulous
While taking pix of the helicopter I noticed movement and zoomed in on a mama Turkey and her babies. We have oodles of them around now.
We have lift off. I am always amazed at how these things lift off.
We could hear him coming and then hover in the air as the red bucket came down before he would set down this copter. Blades still going until he lifted off again.
Careful to miss any power lines. My master drew this same copter last year in her journal when he put out two fires with in two days around us dipping into the River.
And there he goes with his bucket hanging below. It holds a lot of water. The smoke is so bad its hard to bring in the planes right now. We are expecting more lightning in Oregon tonight but they are saying probably/ hopefully not for us, thank goodness. We need some rain which isn't going to come for awhile. More help is on the way. You can go to kpic.com and read about it.
You can find our masters sitting here at the end of the day.
You can find us sitting here waiting on some goodies if we beg cute enough.
Which we do.
Happy Animal Wednesday
