Winter wonderland.

It's snowing today. Not stopping the turkeys or the birds. Sure is pretty. Not normal to get so much.
Taken this morning. The girls did NOT want to come out of their pen so that's where they are.
After running around the sunroom, the chicks went back in crate and are happy to just look out on it. Wanted to add more on last photo but I am doing this on my ipad and it won't let me. So enjoy the last photo.  I am.

  3. We have a bunch of snow too. Lots of snow actually. It is pretty. My poor dearly beloved shoveled the drive three times today. I helped one time. We will have to do it again tomorrow. "Oh the weather outside is frightful..."

  5. Wow, we're getting a bit today. It's sort of early for snow for us but the fire is cozy and that's where I'm staying!

  6. Very pretty , but unusual there, right? Glad the animals are all ok. Your indoor chicks look old enough to be outdoor chicks already? No? Enjoy your weather, and be safe! We sat by a fire last night too, but just had rain outside!

  7. Thank you everyone. Its still pretty cold and lots of snow left. In the ten years I have lived here I have never seen it like this.. maybe some snow melting off by noon or some patches the next day but this is socked in and the roads treacherous. we had to put a little heater out in the girls coop as its so blame cold and going down to ten tonight. Unheard of in ten years of being here.

  8. We did have a really nasty cold spell here about 25 years ago. It lasted about 2 weeks. Lets hope we get warmer sooner. I feel so sorry for my resident hummingbird. I just hope she keeps coming to my feeder (which I switch with another to keep it from freezing.)

    1. Yes I have had enough cold. Lol I feel so for the poor wild animals. I am putting out more food for them. And making sure the hummers have food too.

  10. It looks wonderful........but I really hope we won't get any snow here yet..... It's ok when you don't have to go anywhere. Heard on the news that there was some extreme cold in the US. Is it where you are?
Stay warm and how sweet the chickens are inside ;)
